Setting Up Your Digital Food Diary.

Congratulations!

You have chosen to use our Nutritional Behavior Coaching program to focus on narrowing the gap between how you are currently eating and either how you want to eat or your medical practitioner’s recommendations. Before you get started, you will need to set up a profile with Cronometer. This will be the digital food diary you will be using with your coach to help you determine your baseline and assess how well the changes you make are narrowing that gap.

You should be receiving an email invitation to Cronometer from us very soon.

This will provide you with access to their advanced features and allow your coach real-time access to your food diary. You can also set up your profile by following the instructions below. Either way, once you have created your profile be sure to accept the invitation from Empowered Health.

Cronometer Profile.

Create a profile on Cronometer:

Download the app or go to the website: www.cronometer.com

Follow the instructions to sign up using the email address you used for your Empowered Health Patient Portal.  

At the top of your newly created profile, you will see an invitation from Empowered Health Institute. Click the link to accept this invitation.

Your coach will go over how to use the food diary and show you some fun tips and tricks at your next session. However, feel free to get started with tracking your meals before then.

Cronometer Notes.

Your coach will have access to view your food diary in real-time throughout the program, and you will be able to use it on your phone or tablet as an app or on your browser through their website.

You may notice that your display will change before we meet. This may happen due to various reasons, including:

  • It may take time for your coach to update your targets based on your medical practitioner’s recommendations. They will send you a message through the app once this is completed.
  • If you have asked your coach to block the nutritional content of the food you are entering, it may take some time for your coach to make this adjustment.
