BBQ Sauce

This smoky and spicy barbecue sauce is easy and delicious!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup coconut aminos 
  • 1/2 cup water 
  • 6 oz tomato paste 
  • 6-8 pitted dates 
  • 2 tsp garlic powder 
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika 
  • 2 tsp cumin 
  • 1/4 tsp chipotle chili powder 
  • 1/2 tsp ancho chili powder 

DIRECTIONS

  1. Soak the dates for 10-15 minutes in warm water (filtered) to soften. Drain the water and discard. 
  2. Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor and mix until a smooth, uniform sauce results. Store in the fridge for up to 1 week.
