Health Coaching Works

Health Coaching

I don’t usually like to talk to people about my personal matters. In fact, I don’t think I ever would have signed up for health coaching because of that. Thankfully though, I had the opportunity to sit down with the health coach Erika, and my idea of what health coaching is was totally changed.

Erika is super insightful and kind. She was easily able to go to whatever topic I wanted to talk about and was actually able to help me make the changes I wanted to make, not what she thought I needed to make.

During our health coaching sessions, Erika was able to help me with one of my biggest barriers: exercise. I’m great at planning and thinking about exercise. I know how I want to do it, but actually putting my plans into action was always an issue. Erika listened to me and what was stopping me and was able to help me effectively come up with a plan for how I can address and get past this stopping point.

Now that it’s been a few weeks since our sessions have ended, I have still had success with this plan, and honestly it couldn’t have come at a better time.

With COVID-19 my life has been very hectic, as I think most people’s lives are right now. Some people with all this stress are probably not taking the time they need for themselves, but this is exactly the time I think people need to slow down and take care of themselves.

When things are at their worst like right now, that’s when we need to take that self-time. And with the COVID-19 precautions in place at Empowered Health, I thought having health coaching sessions over the phone might have been a bit inconvenient or not effective. I was pleasantly surprised, however, that Erika was super prepared and that we were able to make as much progress as we were.

I would definitely recommend the health coaching at Empowered Health with Erika. Her personality is perfect for the job and the work she helps you accomplish in your health is completely worthwhile.
